When we talk about the bare minimum, we often hear the same phrase repeated over and over again: &ldquo;The bar is in hell.&rdquo; And honestly, it&rsquo;s true&mdash;the bar is in hell and so are you.
We've all experienced the bare minimum treatment at some point. It&rsquo;s when the person you're with is doing just enough to keep you around, but they're not really making an effort to go beyond. It&rsquo;s like receiving a &ldquo;Sorry, busy lang&rdquo; text after being ditched, with no explanation why. You can almost hear the indifference in their response.
At first, it might seem acceptable. You&rsquo;re content with hanging out, chatting, and spending some of your free time together. But as time goes on, you start to feel like you&rsquo;re ready to take things to the next level. That&rsquo;s when their hesitation becomes obvious.&nbsp;
So, you settle. You settle for whatever they can give, even if it&rsquo;s just the bare minimum.
The thing is, when you choose to stay in a relationship where the bare minimum is the status quo, you start to see the patterns. They&rsquo;re the person who won&rsquo;t check in on you when you&rsquo;re having a bad day, or the one who doesn&rsquo;t plan dates unless you remind them a hundred times.&nbsp;
Over time, it becomes clear: this is all you&rsquo;re going to get, and it will never change.
But that&rsquo;s not how relationships are supposed to work.
If someone is constantly giving you the bare minimum, they're showing you that you&rsquo;re not a part of their priorities. And honestly? That&rsquo;s a red flag. You deserve someone who makes you feel special, listens when you speak, and shows up for you even when it's inconvenient.
If they can&rsquo;t offer you stability, don&rsquo;t waste another second trying to make it work. You deserve the best. And trust me, it&rsquo;s out there waiting for you.
