You&rsquo;ve all probably been through that kind of situation, and you&rsquo;ve all been fans of our own interests! However, do you realize that like all other relationships, you develop your connection with your favorite artists? It gets deeper and wider as you get to know them more.&nbsp;
This is what they call parasocial relationships. You form these relationships with someone who doesn&rsquo;t know you exist even though you invest your time and energy towards the person. The outstanding thing about it is that you want something so grand to be something so normal.
It might be weird for some people, but parasocial relationships actually have benefits for us:

Not only do you form a bond with your favorite celebrity, but you also create new friendships dealing with the same interest. This definitely helps with the people who lack social activity or are most of the time isolated.

A great reason why you are very much fixated on celebrities is because they are made to be seen in the public eye. They build themselves up to be role models in society as public figures hence you want to be as established as them someday.

You may have read online or even with your own friends, your favorite artists become sources of comfort for you, whenever you go through a difficult time in your life. They make you feel like you are not alone.
You discover different parts of yourself
Not only do you get to know your favorite celebrity more, but you even get to know yourself a little bit! You discover different things that you might like or want to explore that you never thought of before.
Therefore, the next time you judge a fan of anyone, maybe take a step back and reflect on yourself. Think about how much that person has contributed in their life and how they have helped that fan grow through the years.
