<p>The OPM icon Ogie Alcasid recently opened up about the emotional struggles he faced when his daughter, Leila Alcasid, decided to move in with her boyfriend, Mito Fabie, known as Curtismith. The heartfelt moment came during the &ldquo;Expecially For You&rdquo; segment on the noontime show, <em>It&rsquo;s Showtime</em>.</p>

<p>Ogie shared that he initially felt hurt when Leila made the decision without informing him first. He expressed how challenging it was to come to terms with her choice, especially as a parent who wants the best for his children. Ogie admitted that while it&rsquo;s hard to accept, he knows that young adults often make their own decisions, even if they go against their parents' wishes.</p>

<p>&ldquo;Ito naman ay open naman ito, &lsquo;yung panganay ko actually bumukod, na ikinasama ng loob ko at sinabi ko sa kanilang dalawa ng boyfriend niya, &lsquo;Bakit hindi kayo nagsabi sa akin?&rsquo; E alam mo naman ang kabataan, hindi magsasabi &lsquo;yan e at lalo mong pipigilin, gagawin pa rin nila,&rdquo; Ogie said.</p>
<p>Despite his initial feelings, Ogie emphasized the importance of allowing his daughter to make her own life choices. He acknowledged that as parents, they can only guide their children, but they ultimately have to let them live their lives and learn from their experiences.</p>

<p>Reflecting on parenthood, Ogie mentioned that no matter what happens, parents will always be there to support their children. Even if things don't turn out as planned, parents will be ready to help. He added that being a parent means being ready to welcome them back with open arms if they ever need it.</p>
<p>Leila is Ogie&rsquo;s daughter from his previous marriage with former beauty queen Michelle Van Eimeren. Ogie and his current wife, Regine Velasquez, also have a son named Nate.</p>
