<p>Authorities from the Balearic Islands Ministry have launched a preliminary investigation after it was discovered that the production company behind the video failed to request the necessary permits to film in the area.</p>
<p>They clarified that Perry's actions are not considered a "crime against the environment." Instead, they find it as an administrative violation, adding that photography and filming can be authorized in the area with proper permissions.</p>

<p>The video, released on August 8, shows Perry enjoying a day on the beach and later heading to a club in Ibiza. Some scenes were shot on the protected dunes of S&rsquo;Espalmador, located on the nearby island of Formentera.</p>
<p>The production company involved, "We Own The City," has not responded to requests for comment.</p>
<p><em>"Lifetimes" is the second single from Perry's upcoming album, 143, which is set for release on September 20, 2024.</em></p>
