<p>A report indicated that someone called 911 to report an "aggressive" male at the hotel, which matches witness accounts of Liam's behavior in the lobby. Police stated they found the former One Direction member's body in an internal courtyard. His death was later confirmed by Alberto Crescenti, the director of emergency services in Buenos Aires.&nbsp;</p>
<p>Payne had traveled to Argentina earlier in the month to attend and support his former bandmate Niall Horan&rsquo;s concert. Hours before his death, Payne was reportedly seen in the hotel.</p>
<p>Previous reports involving the singer include allegations from his ex-fianc&eacute;e, Maya Henry, claiming he asked her to get an abortion. Her attorneys had reportedly been trying to send him a cease-and-desist letter to stop further contact.</p>
<p>In June 2021, it was revealed that Payne had battled alcohol and prescription drug addictions during a period when One Direction was on tour. His struggles reportedly worsened to the point where he experienced suicidal thoughts.</p>
<p>As of now, Payne&rsquo;s death has not been officially verified. However, sources indicate that fans have gathered outside the hotel, lighting candles to honor his memory. Tributes have also been pouring in online.</p>
