The Boomerang Awards 2024, organized by the Digital Marketing Association of the Philippines (DMAP), once again celebrated excellence in digital marketing, honoring a wide array of outstanding brands and agencies that pushed the boundaries of innovation and creativity. Maya retained its title as Advertiser of the Year, while Dentsu Creative Manila earned the distinction of Agency of the Year. MullenLowe TREYNA claimed top honors for its impactful "Right to Care" campaign for the Quezon City Gender and Development Council, taking home both the prestigious White Boomerang &mdash; an award that recognizes pivotal innovation &mdash; and Best of Show.

Held on October 16, 2024, at the Col|Lab Space in Sheraton Manila, this year&rsquo;s awards drew 393 entries across 17 main categories and 7 special categories, highlighting the continued creativity and effectiveness that fuel the Philippine digital marketing industry. The White Boomerang, which has been part of the Boomerang Awards for years, finally had its moment, with the Right to Care campaign being recognized for its groundbreaking approach and far-reaching impact.

Co-chaired by Kit Ramos Disini and Jace Susara, the theme of this year&rsquo;s awards, Be Greater, challenged all nominees to raise the bar on innovation, creativity, and impact.&nbsp;

Kit shared, &ldquo;This year&rsquo;s theme, &lsquo;Be Greater,&rsquo; was an ambitious vision that the Booms team embraced wholeheartedly. Every aspect, from the meticulous jury deliberation process in selecting winners to curating every detail of the event, had to be greater than ever before while ensuring cohesive synergy across our key themes of innovation, creativity, and impact.&rdquo;

The 2024 jury was led by Valerie Madon, Chief Creative Officer of McCann Worldgroup Asia Pacific, who expressed her admiration for the caliber of local entries. &ldquo;I&rsquo;ve served as a juror for many international shows, and it&rsquo;s rare to see enough Philippine entries. However, being here, I got to witness so many exceptional works. It makes me wonder why these pieces aren&rsquo;t featured more often on the international stage &mdash; the quality is truly world-class!&rdquo;

The evening was further enlivened by stellar performances from Sandwich, Chicosci, Itchyworms, August Wahh, and the legendary Ely Buendia, adding a vibrant energy to the celebration of creativity and excellence.
